Sustainability is and always will be a core pillar of the MAAEMO brand. Since our launch back in 2017, we have always strived to ensure that our business practices have the best interest of Mother Earth in mind. We are excited to announce that we have teamed up with Take 3 For The Sea and for the next week, we will be donating 5% of all sales to supporting their cause.
Take 3 For The Sea is an initiative that encourages education and action around keeping our oceans clean of pollution and plastic. Take 3 for the sea is leading a global movement of people who are connected to the planet to remove plastic and pollution from the ocean. Take 3’s education programs in schools surf clubs and communities focus on inspiration and participation. Take 3 believe that we all have the power to take action and create positive change. Simply take 3 pieces of rubbish with you whenever you leave the beach and you have made a difference!
TAKE 3 have been fighting the war of plastics in oceans and have education programs in schools, surf clubs, communities and online which focus on inspiration and participation in removing plastic pollution from the environment. They have proven to be a worldwide phenomenon, with 129 countries participating, and 350, 000 people educated annually. They are proud to announce that each year, through their program, 10 million pieces of rubbish are removed from beaches and waterways each year.
MAAEMO’s ambassador, Elyse Knowles will be supporting our collaboration by conducting a beach clean up in Byron Bay on Tuesday 16th of February. Elyse aligns herself with MAAEMO’s values and commitment to the wellbeing of the environment, with a strong passion for sustainability, health and wellness.
With the event taking place one day after Valentines day, this collaboration encourages people to extend their love to the earth. Spread the love beyond your special someone this month by looking after our beautiful beaches.
