Hyaluronic acid
Hyaluronic acid naturally occurs within our skin and serves the purpose of supporting the skins ability to withhold water. As we age, our skins ability to produce it's own hyaluronic acid declines, which can lead to increased dehydration, the appearance of fine lines and loss of elasticity. HA has the ability to hold up to 1000 times it's weight in water to support and maintain hydration in the skins dermis. Hyaluronic acid visibly reduces the appearance and depth of fine lines and wrinkles and creates a plumping effect on the skin.
Tremella Mushroom
This game changing, plant based ingredient is known as the beauty mushroom due to an instant lifting effect through intense hydration, rapidly smoothing the skinâs surface. Tremella is known to hold 5 times more water than hyaluronic acid when applied to the skin which gives it incredibly youth restoring, plumping capabilities.
Licorice extract
Licorice root is a super effective skin brightener and pigmentation fader! This extract is considered a natural, plant based tyrosinase inhibitors which is known to reverse the signs of pigmentation to lighten and remove dark spots. Studies have also shown that Licorice root extract contains an active compound called liquiritin, which helps to breakdown and remove existing melanin in the skin. This compound suggests that licorice root may even be effective at preventing pigmentation as well as improving it.
Bilberry extract
This extract contains high amounts of antioxidants which protect and prevent damage to the skin caused by oxidation, pollution and environmental damage. Bilberry has also been shown to be effective in reducing redness on the skin due to calming, soothing properties.
Betaine
Betaine is an amino acid which is naturally derived from sugar beets. This active ingredient restores hydration and moisture to the skins layers and strengthens the skins barrier function. Betaine has a role in controlling osmosis within the skins cells which ultimately prevents the loss of water.
