If you’re like us the dreaded Monday morning alarm is snoozed a few times before getting the courage to drag ourselves out of bed.
While many of us do it, our morning routines should be a time where we set the tone for the day. Are we going to be productive or just go through the motions?
To help get you out of bed and ready for the day we have put together some simple steps to help boost motivation and eliminate the mad rush out the door!
Set your alarm 30 mins early. By allowing 30 minutes at the start of your day you will allow yourself time to fit in a quick walk, workout or even tidy the house! This will give you extra hours after work to relax and unwind, it will also reduce the stress of trying to squeeze in a workout at the end of the day when you are tired and more likely to opt for wine & TV.
Don't snooze your alarm! We know, this can be hard when you are just wanting 5 more minutes but you will thank yourself when you are up & organised before a busy day of work! This may take some time, so get in the habit of setting your alarm earlier if you know you can resist the snooze button!
AM Skin care! Another benefit of not snoozing your alarm is extra time to incorporate your Maaemo AM skin care into your morning routine. Take some time to properly cleanse your skin using the purifying gel cleanser, apply serums, hydrating face moisturisers and of course daily SPF!
Make yourself a nutritious breakfast! Despite it being drilled into us for years that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, many of us still skip breakfast for a quick coffee on the go! Allow time in your morning to make a healthy breakfast, incorporate nuts, chia seeds, beauty supplements whatever it may to set yourself up for the day!
Meditate. Taking some time out in your day for meditation has many health benefits. It can reduce stress & anxiety as well as allowing us to centre ourselves, reconnecting and focusing on our intentions for the day. Our favourite guided meditation is Amarvi meditation, her online portal provides access to guided meditations, energetic practices, yoga and so much more.
