The anti-aging ingredients that actually work
The anti-aging ingredients that actually work

Late nights, early mornings, salty food and a to-do list that never ends… sound familiar? Modern life can be non-stop, with very little downtime for our mind or our body, and not surprisingly this can lead to premature aging (hello, wrinkles…).

While we know that regular fitness and eating healthily can combat some signs of aging, our skin may need a little extra attention. The good news is that there are some incredibly hard-working and effective natural ingredients that can help keep you looking younger. Their powerful benefits are the key to the success of our clean beauty products and because we do our homework, we’re happy to share these with you!

Though, we’re not going to lie, your first step in your anti-aging quest should be to up your water intake. Our skin needs hydration to look its best and the fastest way of doing that is downing those eight glasses of water (or more) every day, followed by an anti-aging skin care routine. Look for these seven ingredients the next time you’re deciding on the skincare to trust.

Kakadu Plum
Used by Indigenous Australians for thousands of years because of its medicinal benefits, Kakadu Plum helps keep your skin radiant. Pumped full of phytochemicals gallic and ellagic acids, Kakadu Plum is great for inflammatory skin conditions and acne. It’s antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties can also help keep skin tone even (yes, please).

Gotu Kola

Now this little guy is the star of the anti-aging ingredients for the simple fact it stimulates collagen production, keeping the skin plump and elastic. It can also improve the resistance of your skin to sagging (amazing, right?) and it can help reduce stretch marks and scaring. It’s an allrounder.

Gingko Biloba Leaf Extract

This plant is one of the oldest living trees on earth and it has been used traditionally for its healing benefits. Gingko Biloba is packed full of antioxidants which help fight free radicals (the main cause of appearance of aging), and the fact that it has powerful anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties means it’s a hard-working anti-aging agent.

Camellia sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract
Not just a great tasting tea to warm you up on cold days, green tea extract is a wizard for your skin. Like most of the other ingredients here, it’s filled with ani-inflammatory and antioxidant properties that can help target breakouts before they, well, break out. It can also help shield your skin from irritation and UV damage, as well as helping to reduce any swelling or redness too. This guy is a must-have.
