Create a sleep schedule. As humans we crave routine. We incorporate routines in our everyday lives, whether they be exercise, waking up early or your sleep. Going to bed every night at the same time will allow you to wake up at the same time reinforcing a consistent routine.
Monitor your caffeine. As we approach bed time it is important to reduce the intake of any stimulants. This may be ensuring you aren’t drinking caffeine after midday or reducing your caffeine intake throughout the day.
Create a peaceful sleeping environment. Ensure your sleeping environment is conducive to sleep. Cool, dark, quiet spaces often will promote your best night's sleep.
Include some form of physical activity in your day. The more physical activity you do throughout the day, the more tired you will be! Try to aim for at least 30 minutes of exercise a day.
